Your lead generation strategy needs to be as dynamic as the people you’re targeting. Trends change, behaviors shift, opinions morph … so should your lead gen marketing. Use A/B split testing to see what CTAs perform best, which landing pages convert better, and which copy captures your target audience. Experiment with layout changes, design, UX, content, and advertising channels until you find what works.

Set up marketing automation workflows to categorize leads and segment them into lists using criteria established in Step #1. Use these lists to nurture leads with relevant content and personalized email communications. Cost per acquisition advertising (e.g. TalkLocal, Thumbtack) addresses the risk of CPM and CPC advertising by charging only by the lead. Like CPC, the price per lead can be bid up by demand. Also, like CPC, there are ways in which providers can commit fraud by manufacturing leads or blending one source of lead with another (example: search-driven leads with co-registration leads) to generate higher profits. For such marketers looking to pay only for specific actions/acquisition, there are two options: CPL advertising (or online lead generation) and CPA advertising (also referred to as affiliate marketing). In CPL campaigns, advertisers pay for an interested lead — i.e. the contact information of a person interested in the advertiser's product or service. CPL campaigns are suitable for brand marketers and direct response marketers looking to engage consumers at multiple touchpoints — by building a newsletter list, community site, reward program or member acquisition program. In CPA campaigns, the advertiser typically pays for a completed sale involving a credit card transaction.
Each lead generation technique usually has a tradeoff between quality and quantity. For example, a form on the company website that visitors can fill in to request a call back will generate high-quality leads – these visitors are very likely to buy since they're interested enough to want to hear more – but probably won't generate a lot of leads. On the other hand, a lead list that's based on a newsletter subscription list from another company may generate a lot of leads, but they won't be nearly as interested or qualified.

Nobody is just going to give you their email address, which is why you have to entice them. You have to give them a reason to give them your email address. This brings us to our third tip, you want to give something for free away in exchange for email addresses. Don’t worry though because you don’t have to give away physical products, and digital based-products/items are the best kind to give away.
This is the same thing you’re demonstrating when you post panama messages. You’re not demonstrating posture. Instead you’re coming off as bitter. You come off as defensive and desperate to defend your business decisions. (And even if you’re not, people will still think it! – and what they think will highly affect the effectiveness of your attraction marketing prospecting).
The problem is that information abundance equals attention scarcity. This is known as attention economics. Social scientist Herbert Simon was the first person to discuss this concept when he wrote “in an information-rich world, the wealth of information means a dearth of something else: a scarcity of whatever it is that information consumes. What information consumes is rather obvious: it consumes the attention of its recipients.”

Create more advanced levels of content. As you embark on this adventure of becoming an attraction marketer, and give up the addiction to traditional advertising. You'll want to consistently create more advanced levels of content. This gives you an ongoing conversation with your prospects and customers. For example: YouTube video, blog posting, articles and eBook webinar. The idea is not to guide people to step one, and then dump them. But to show them how to do step one... when they need that information. And then to show them how to do step two, at the appropriate time. And so on.
A warm call is much more valuable than a cold one. Many have already declared cold calling dead and would rather focus on warm leads because when you contact a warm lead, a person is expecting to hear from you or at least has shown some interest towards your business. This means that he or she is much more willing to listen to you and consider purchasing your offering since they have already considered you an option.
Being clean-cut at all times applies to your personal appearance as well as the appearance of your web properties and marketing materials. If you are trying to attract entrepreneurial individuals to sign up for a home-based knife-sales program, for example, you are likely to make a deeper impression if you are dressed like a successful professional than if you dress like an average Joe. Similarly, a polished and elegant website can exude an image of success, luring potential clients to dig deeper into your marketing messages than they would with a cluttered and clumsy design.
