The aspects of your lead gen campaign should mirror everything else on your website, on your blog, and within the product that you will eventually try to sell. If not, you’ll have a difficult time getting your lead to the next lifecycle stage. Your campaign should be about more than just obtaining an email address — it should be about developing a new customer.
Answer questions online: Today, people are asking most of their questions on the Internet. So if you're in the business of answering questions, you should be doing it where the questions are being asked. Places like https://www.google.com, http://answers.yahoo.com, https://www.linkedin.com/answers, https://www.wikihow.com and http://search.twitter.com.
Start teaching: Teaching establishes you as an expert in your niche. It demonstrates your credentials, without you having to flaunt them which no one likes, anyway. And it helps you build Trust and relationships with the exact people that need your help. You already have valuable information to share. Don't get hung up on "giving it away for free". Consider it an investment for the common good. And, an investment in your business as well. Newbies, especially when it comes to advertising on the web, need help understanding the fundamentals. Work with them. You will have no regrets.
As your company grows, lead management becomes about organizing and tracking not only who your leads are, but how they prefer to communicate with you, what you’ve already talked about with them, and which marketing campaigns they’ve enrolled in. That’s a little more sophisticated than just capturing an email address and adding it to the “To” field on your marketing newsletter.
Imagine you have 125 leads. Every lead has engaged with your business in unique ways, and they’re in different stages of your sales funnel. It’s not humanly possible to glance at a lead and recall how closer/farther they are to your business—until you use lead scoring technology. Lead scoring is a method by which you define parameters to qualify or “score” a lead in the CRM. So a CTO might get 15 points by virtue of their designation, and a lead who clicked on a link in your email might get 10 points (versus a lead who only opened your email and gets 5 points). All these points add up, and the higher the score, the hotter the lead. Putting a score on a lead cuts down your decision-making time in terms of which lead you should contact first.
Create more advanced levels of content. As you embark on this adventure of becoming an attraction marketer, and give up the addiction to traditional advertising. You'll want to consistently create more advanced levels of content. This gives you an ongoing conversation with your prospects and customers. For example: YouTube video, blog posting, articles and eBook webinar. The idea is not to guide people to step one, and then dump them. But to show them how to do step one... when they need that information. And then to show them how to do step two, at the appropriate time. And so on.
Whether you are hosting a small private function, a large-scale international tradeshow, or an executive-level webinar, event marketing needs to be an integral part of the lead generation mix. After all, events are a critical component of an outbound marketing strategy. Essentially, events offer you the chance to define your brand, clarify the solutions you provide, and establish personal connections with participants. And while they provide you with an invaluable opportunity to engage with prospects and customers, events also give attendees the chance to interact with each other. As every marketer knows, there is no better advertising than the direct words of a satisfied customer. Events also provide a venue to deliver speeches and content that convey your company’s thought leadership and raise your perception in the eyes of buyers. Compared to other marketing tactics, events are more likely to quickly turn a prospect into a strong lead. As a lively, interactive, educational forum, events position your business as a trusted leader in a field of many.
4. Cassette tape or video sponsoring. If your company has an exciting cost-effective product cassette tape, it can be used in place of or in addition to a brochure. These are automatic merchandisers that stimulate people to action. While opportunity tapes are important, most successful recruiters lead with a good product tape. Once people appreciate your product offering, they're more open to the business opportunity.
C = Communicating and connecting in a consistent manner. Your audience wants to hear from you in a personable, direct way. Consistency implies a regular basis, but the key is setting the schedule in a way that your audience expects to hear from you. Make each piece of communication connect with your audience instead of a “sales pitch” to buy your product.
"Before Attraction Marketing we never generated many leads or made much money... we used to bug family, chase friends, and put flyers on cars. We were always going after people trying to convince them, and it never worked. After Attraction Marketing we now have built a brand, people flock to us, and we have become the hunted instead of the hunter."
First I want to say how impressed I have been with your company. I have dealt with a great deal of leads companies over the last 6 years and have never dealt with a more responsive company than yours. Actually they don't come close to being this quick to respond- let alone it being the owner of the company to reach out. So thank you for that! Also, thank you for the information! I'm happy with that response - I was just curious about the process. This is only my second time ordering leads at or over 10,000 in quantity.
